Himalayan singing bowls for self-care and healing
I have had the great privilege to study with Tibetan monk and master of sacred Buddhist art, Tibetan Tantric Healing and chant master.
I wanted to introduce you to one of the instruments I play during a soothing sound bath. The Himalayan singing bowls have been used for centuries for healing. I have fallen in love with these amazing healing bowls. When played they can create beautiful harmonics, sometimes up to 5 different notes or frequencies at a time. I teach more of the Himalayan singing bowls in my Sound Medicine Workshop.
The vibrations created when playing the singing bowl can sooth the body, mind and spirit. The frequencies can unblock energy within the body.
Himalayan singing bowl healing properties
The Himalayan singing bowls are hand hammered from refuge monks from using 7 metals, known for their healing properties. That's why these bowls are so special and unique. Each hammer blow from the craftsman has the mantra of pure intentions, which is the equivalent to a million prayers.
Tune in for healing
Do you have a Tibetan singing bowl and wanting to use it for healing, either for self-care or for others? Just before you begin to play your sing bowl, set an intention. Our thoughts are very powerful and carry vibrations.
Take time to tune in...
Put your hand on your heart and take a few deep breathes...
Tune in to where you need healing...it could be your body, mind or spirit.

Healing frequencies of the singing bowls
The lower frequencies help relax the muscles, the middle frequencies tend to stimulate the heart, lungs and emotions, and the higher frequencies generally resonate in the brain, effecting cognitive function.
