Singing bowl meditation to slow down thoughts and clear the mind
If you’ve experienced feelings of overwhelm or stress lately, you’re not alone. With all that's been happening round the world with COVID-19, many music teachers, sound healers and drummers are going online to help keep connected with their students and community.
Many people, including myself, have been frantically learning online platform Zoom to help maintain connection and serve community where needed. From my experience this has been overwhelming! I have found that running an interactive live drumming event online to be completely different to …well… being in the same room as the person you’re drumming with.
Time to pause, time for singing bowl meditation
This is a time to pause… time to reflect … tune in to what is important in life. Today I setup my Tibetan singing bowls, gongs and some chakra chimes to help ease the stress I had been experiencing over the last two days of working out how to facilitate a live drumming event on Zoom. I always find playing my singing bowls to be so meditative, soothing and calming. Within minutes I was feeling calm and more myself.
You’re not alone in this crisis
I thought that if I had been feeling stressed, then many others might be too... maybe you? I wanted to share with you a short meditation with singing bowls to help ease your mind, to help slow the mental traffic. It only takes a short time to begin to feel relaxed and calm. Take this time to pause, listen to the singing bowls, watch the video to the very end, and notice how you are feeling by the end. After watching the singing bowl meditation how are you feeling right now?
