I’m always on the lookout for those specially hand crafted sound healing instruments to play in my Positive Music sound bath. I was so excited to receive my new healing Mantra gong the other week. 

Sound healing music

I’ve never seen a healing gong like this before with beautiful artwork. I was curious to hear what it would sound like when I recorded the gong in my studio. I realised that the Mantra gong goes beautifully with some of my singing bowls. I was inspired by the energy of the gong that I created an ambient song called Aria with small gong, Tibetan singing bowl, chimes, kalimba, crystal singing bowls and flute. 

After recording the gong I then recorded the singing bowls and then came up with a melody with kalimba. It felt like air or water, so I called the song Aria - Aria comes from the Italian word which literally translates to 'air'. Would you like your own copy of Aria? Sounds for meditation 

More and more people are being drawn to sound baths for their beautiful soothing sounds, healing properties and energising vibrations. I love the combination of Tibetan singing bowls when played, produce three to five frequencies creating beautiful harmonics and crystal singing bowls which create a lovely pure note (from the western music scale). 

Many people have their own singing bowl in homes for either meditation or to clear their space. Now you can learn how to play Tibetan singing bowls to calm mind, body and spirit and implement the medicine drum into your life for grounding, with sound healing workshops.

Sounds that energise 

We are exposed to all kinds of frequencies throughout the day. Some can energise our mind and body where other frequencies can deplete energy. Those frequencies and volume such as traffic, lawnmowers, fridges and load music can drain our energy levels, making us feel exhausted. 

By being aware of sound and volume around us we can be proactive with our health and wellbeing. By introducing soothing, positive vibrations and healing frequencies into our life we are actually energising our mind, body and spirit.
