Uniting community with interactive drum circle music

Having the right combination of drum circle instruments can really enhance community connection and bring people together in the spirit of play. And of course having an experienced drum circle facilitator can really nurture this experience. 

Boost drum circle experience with more musicality 

Wouldn’t it be really boring from a musical point of view if the drum circle only had one kind of drum? What makes an energising drum circle is having low, medium and high pitch drums to create melodic rhythms, deeper connection, and bigger opportunities for orchestration and participant’s self-expression. 

Drum circle instruments that cater for everyone in the circle 

We are all unique and not everyone likes playing high pitch drums, maybe they favour the low pitch drums. It comes down to personal taste and what vibration each person resonates with. Our body reacts with certain vibrations, where the low pitch drums have a low frequency or bigger wave form than the high pitch drums, where the wave form is faster, creating a different frequency. For example each Chakra within our body reacts to different frequencies and healing musical instruments -  but that’s in another conversation. 

At the end of the day the drum circle is about bringing people together, uniting community. My personal experience is having a trained drum circle facilitator to facilitate the community group to collaborate, connect and nurture everyone within the circle - no matter how many participants within the circle. I feature these kinds of tools and techniques within my drum circle facilitator training.
