Is healing music a form of meditation? 

Music is a form of meditation. I go into depth in my online drumming meditation course how drumming can be used as a meditation tool for wellbeing. By creating music we begin to quiet the ‘Monkey Mind’, and by doing this we begin to feel and experience the benefits of growing peace within us. 

Many find the word meditation to be overwhelming. Many say I’ve tried meditation before but I can’t stop thinking, I get more frustrated. In my drum circle facilitator training I teach the benefits of creating music and playing healing drum circle instruments, and that it’s not about stopping thoughts; it’s about increasing positive thoughts, which in turn make us feel good – emotionally, physically and spiritually. 

My passion is sharing the benefits and encouraging people to explore their creative side through sound, music – especially for those who don’t think that they have a musical bone in their body. Everyone has the ability to create healing music.
